imageimageJump in the car and drive for an hour and a half and your in the lovely seaside town of Whitstable. I’ve never been before and I don’t know why!! I loved our weekend there with the kids and our lovely friends and their children. It’s not just great for families but also perfect for young couples. It’s a real retro town with lots of cool home vintage shops and quirky little shops that sell all sorts of stuff that you REALLY must buy but totally don’t need. I could have spent hours mooching around but thankfully for my husbands sake, our boys just weren’t very willing!! BOO HOO I cry…..next time though! With the scooters, wellies, kites and sunglasses packed we were all set for hours of fun on the stoney beaches, especially as there were loads of places to get some delicious food, whether that was to picnic on the beach or for a sit down meal. We did both and it was delicious! Whitstable is famous for it’s Oysters ( if you like them…I prefer the Mr Whippy ice-cream kind!) and there were lots of lobsters on offer to. A seafood lover’s dream destination. There was nothing fancy about it, it was just basic and yummy.
